Can Aries ActionTrac Running Boards Be Integrated With Factory Running Board Wiring on 2022 F-350
Question:
I have a 2022 F350 crew cab, SRW, that currently has stock power deployable running boards. I am considering changing them out with the Aries ActionTrac, which would give me an extra step to access the vehicle. Can I simply connect these to the existing wiring for the stock running boards and not use the supplied door sensor? Or does the system need to be rewired? It seem silly to me to have to rewire this when the Aries will perform essentially the same function as the stock boards.

According to Aries, this may be possible but it is unlikely it would work. It would also void their warranty. Aries has never tested this, and it sounds like it would be more of a hassle than it is worth with a need for additional relays and other components. For that reason using the sensors that come with the # AA3048321 for installation is recommended.
