Will the Reese Landing Gear Set # RP500708 Bolt to the Factory Clamps on a 2006 Durango 315BD

Question:

i have a 2006 durango 315 bh fifth wheel trailer and the landing gera went, can i just remove the factory legs and just bolt these right into place? Will these be strong enough or should i go with the 12,000 model?

Most fifth wheel trailer manufacturers use a standard bracket length for the landing gear legs. You should no have a problem replacing your existing landing gear legs with the Reese Electric Fifth Wheel Landing Gear Set, # RP500708, but you can measure the distance between the frame brackets to be sure.

You should have 17-1/2 inches from the bottom of the upper clamp to the top of the lower clamp (see photo). If your clamps are spaced closer or further apart, let me know the spacing and I can see what options are available. You may end up having to cut the frame clamps off and welding new ones. All of our landing gear sets come with a new set of frame clamps.

After doing some research on the Durango 315bh fifth wheel trailers, you should have no problem with a 8,000 lb landing gear set. The landing gear only needs to lift slightly more weight than the pin weight of the trailer.
