Why Does The RoadActive Suspension Say it Will Not Fit a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country?

Question:

I have a new 2023 4x4 High Country with a 6.2L V8 and factory max tow package. We are towing a 2023 Airstream Globetrotter 27 FBT that weighs around 6,200 lbs dry and probably around 7,000 loaded using a Blue Ox WD hitch rated for this trailer. Published tongue weight is 875 lbs. I was looking at the the RAS website and it noted that this system was not appropriate for the High Country trim level? Could you confirm as I think this product would add a lot to the towing performance without compromising normal ride quality.

I reached out to RoadActive Suspension and it appears the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 High Country they had come in their shop had a mono-leaf spring on the rear which their Kit # RAS4611 will not work on. If your High Country does not have a mono-leaf spring you will be able to use their kit.

If you do have the mono-leaf and no adaptive ride control I recommend looking at the SuperSrings # SS45FR as they would also help with towing performance while not greatly affecting unloaded ride quality.
