Determining If A MORryde Step Above RV Step Will Fit A Firetruck Door Threshold
Question:
we have a firetruck with a 2 1/2 thick door. Are there steps that would fold up that fit that? Also need 500# capacity

To know for sure we would really need to see just how far the bottom of the door threshold sits in since the door is 2-1/2" thick. If it sits too far in it would most likely prevent the mounting bracket from fitting. If all is good then we would need to start narrowing down the specific fit by measuring the width of the threshold and then the height from the ground to the top of the threshold.
For example, the MORryde StepAbove RV Steps # MR98RR you were looking at fit 23-3/4" to 26-1/4" wide doorways with a 30" - 33" entry height. This step also has a 500lb capacity.
I've attached an installation video AJ did so you can get a better idea if this would work with your firetruck's door threshold.
