Can Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack Carry Ride1Up Cafe Cruisers
Question:
Question about HLY66ZR. I have two Ride1Up Cafe Cruisers. 65lbs. each. 48inch Wheelbase. 2021 Mazda CX-5. I want to carry two of these e-bikes. Since they are very near the maximum for this lift, will I have any difficulty with securely fitting and traveling with these bikes?

Expert Reply:
The Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack # HLY66ZR that you referenced has a 70 lb per bike weight capacity. Your bikes weighing 65 lbs would easily work just fine. The way these racks are rated you do not have to worry about weight capacity unless you are actually over the limit. As long as you are anywhere underneath the capacity you are totally safe and would have nothing to worry about.
The max wheelbase this rack can work with is 50 inches so your 48 inch wheelbase would also not be an issue at all.
