Can Housing of Roof Vent Be Left In Place for Roof Vent Installation
Question:
Can this fan be installed in existing frame without completely removing old frame and just replacing the fan/controls into the exiting frame and lid

You could get away with keeping the same garnish (trim piece inside the cutout) but unless there are specific parts you're replacing on your roof vent you'll need to replace the entire unit with the Fan-Tastic Vent Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan and Thermostat # FV802250. This is going to be the same case no matter what roof vent you have.
Please note you need the Roof Vent Installation Kit # 344270KITW as well to get this vent installed. I'm attaching some review videos for you to also check out.
If you end up just needing to replace certain parts please let me know what model roof vent you have and what parts you're needing to replace and I'll see if there's something we have for you.
