Replacement Brake Kit Recommendation for a 2022 Northwood Arctic Fox 27-5L 5th Wheel
Question:
I have an 2022 Arctic Fox 27-5L 5th wheel with 5600lb Dexter axles. The brakes are terrible and would like to upgrade to a larger brake. Would these or do you have another that will work? Thanks in advance

Your 2022 Arctic Fox 27-5L 5th Wheel should have 5,200 lb axles (I've never heard of 5,600 lb axles before) which means you'll have 12" brakes on them. I'll be happy to recommend a new set of brakes but unfortunately you can't upgrade to the next size up because the mounting bolt pattern is different, the brakes are physically larger, and the rating is 8K which would be way too much for your trailer.
For your application I recommend going with the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-464-465 because it's the best brake assembly that's compatible with your current setup. The Nev-R-Adjust feature makes this system very easy to use - once you've initially adjusted the brakes they will stay tuned up on their own so you get the best braking possible 100% of the time.
