Replacement 25" Slipper Spring Needed for 3,500 lb Axle

Question:

I need to replace a pair of 4 leaf Slipper Hanger springs with a flat end. Axle rating is 3500lbs or I have the option of a 6,000 axle too. The distance between the end of the spring and the closed eye bolt is 24inch 5/8. The distance between the eye bolt center and the end of the hanger bracket is 25. I cant seem to find anything that fits, not sure if the 30 inch flat ends would accomodate, or the reversed upper facing hook style ends can fit there. I prefer galvanized for saltwater use but not exclusive to other options.

Expert Reply:

For your application I recommend using the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Hook End for 4,000-lb Trailer Axles # SP-230275. This measures 26-5/8" to the end of the spring but if you check out the attached photo you'll see that it will fit great with your 25" measurement.

This is rated for a 2,000 lb axle and has a 2" width which are the only other things you need to check when choosing a replacement spring.

Attached is a review video for you to reference. Please note that at this time (February 2023) we only offer galvanized leaf springs for the double eye style.
