Recommended Replacement 2" Slipper Spring Equalizer 3-3/4" Tall

Question:

I am replacing two front hangers on a gooseneck equipment trailer. The current hanger is: 2inch spring width 5inch OA height 3 3/4inch top of hanger to center of bolt hole 9/16 bolt hole Comparing it to your #28-1 hanger the bolt hole is about 1/2inch longer. Will this make any difference. Rear of spring is a slipper going to an equalizer. I didnt see a hanger that matched exactly what I had, but seems this would work. Thanks for your help.

I think I have a better option for your trailer with the dimensions that you provided in the Front Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs part # 721584. This hanger is designed for 2" wide slipper springs, has a 9/16" center hole, and measures 3-9/16" from the center of the bolt hole to the top of the hanger where it installs on the frame. This is a bit closer to the dimension you provided but you could also still go with the Front Hanger for 2" Wide Slipper Springs part # 28-1 as well.

In regards to general rules on replacement, you'll want the hanger to be as close of a match to the existing as possible, the center of the bolt to the top of the hanger being the main dimension to match. The equalizer and shackle strap can allow for some margin of error here but it's not wise to rely on this.
