Bracket to Attach Thule ProRide XT Bike Rack to Crossbars without Channels

Question:

I have two of the Thule ProRide XT bike racks for a car that had the channel system. I now have a new car that has a regular aerobar roof rack so the channel is no longer compatible. If I purchase replacement around the bar brackets Replacement Around the Bar Bracket for Thule ProRide XT and UpRide Roof Bike Racks Item # 1500052940,...will they work on my current bike rack if I remove the channel locking portion of the rack?

Yes, the replacement bracket # 1500052940 would be what you would need to attach your Thule ProRide XT part # TH598004 to your new crossbars that do not have channels on top of them.
