Is a 250 FT/LBS Torque Wrench Able To Torque The Hitch Ball On a Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution?

Question:

Hi. Installation guide for equalizer hitch states that a torque wrench capable of 430 ft/lbs of torque is needed. Is this true, or can I get away using a torque wrench capable of 250 ft/lbs? Thank you.

You will want to ensure you torque all the bolts for the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37100ET to the manufacturers specifications. If you do not have a torque wrench capable of achieving all the required torque ratings you can have the parts final torqued at a local automotive repair shop after you have it set up correctly for your trailer.
