Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Front Mount Hitch Receivers for a 2018 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Question:

I have 2018 F250 FX4 Superduty pickup. Looking at installing a front mounted 2 inch hitch. You guys recommend the Curt hitch because it doesnt stick out as much as the Draw-Tite brand. There looks like plenty of room to install the 5/8 inch pin on the DT hitch. On the Curt, is there as much room to install the pin or do you have install it behind the air ram?

It looks like the hitch pin hole on the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # C31078 will stick behind and/or below the fascia while the Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver # 65076 will stick out far enough to easily reach the hitch pin hole.

The ultimate deciding factor is how you want it to look though. If you'd rather have more of a hidden receiver and you don't mind possibly having to reach behind the fascia to secure accessories then the Curt is the way to go, but if you don't really want to hide the front receiver and you plan on using it often then the Draw-Tite will be more of the user-friendly option.

Attached are some installation videos for you to check out!
