Should Tandem Axle Trailer Use All Matching Replacement Springs

Question:

I bought a really old 6’6”X16’ double axle 3500lb Lowboy flat bed trailer that’s pretty old. Two out of the four leaf springs appear to be the same size one of the other two is welded and the other one seems newer but longer than all the others 25in. The two that are the same size measure around 23 1/8 inches or so. Would it be ok to replace all four of them with 25 1/4in leaf springs? It seems like that is the most common length when I’ve searched leaf spring kits. Also I measured the springs while they are still bolted on the axle. I know that’s not the right way to do it, but I don’t want to have it all taken apart before I buy the right spring. Thank you.

It would be the best to replace all of the springs at the same time with the same size and capacity like you are thinking about doing. In the 25-1/4 inch size the part # e57SR would work great.
