There are a couple noticeable differences between the LCD Digital Circuit Tester # PTW2992 and the Hook Probe Circuit Tester # PTW2993.
The main difference is that the LCD Digital Circuit Tester # PTW2992 does not have the black hook portion, but it does have a digital screen that gives you a voltage reading.
While the Hook Probe Circuit Tester # PTW2993 has the black hook portion, but it only gives you an indication that power is present and not what voltage there is.
