Will the Swagman Titan Bike Rack Fit a 2009 Subaru Forester with Class I Trailer Hitch
Question:
Would this be a compataible bike rack? 2009 Subaru Forrester class I hitch

The Swagman Titan, # S63400, is compatible with a Class I trailer hitch. It should also clear the rear bumper on your 2009 Subaru Forester.
On Class I hitches we installed on the same generation Forester as yours we found that from the center of the hitch pin hole back to clear the rear bumper is about 7-1/2 inches. The Titan measures 14-1/2 inches from the hitch pin hole to the back of the upright bar so it sticks out far enough to clear the bumper.
You will want to confirm this measurement on your vehicle. I have included a link to a helpful article that explains how to take the measurement.
If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical mens bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # HRBA-PRO. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wifes bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my sons bike at all.
