E-Bike Rack Recommendation for Pace 500.2 e-bikes at Rear of Travel Trailer

Question:

We have two new Pace 500.2 ebikes, one a step through and one not. Our current platform rack does not do well because the step through frame is too low to lock the hook on to. So we purchased an adapter bar for step throughs, but because the bike rack hooks pull down to hold the bike in place, it resulted in paint being rubbed away on the bike frame, where the adapter bar intersected with the bike frame near the handlebars. So we are looking for a new rack that will work with both bikes. My concern is that the wheel lock down hook on this rack does not appear to have any padding. There is a review that shows two Aventon ebikes on the rack and the lock down hook is around the top of the front tire, but right where the tire and the front fork meet, resulting in the hook touching the front fork. Wont that lead to rubbing away of the paint? We need to put this on the back of a travel trailer.

The Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU84FR would be a great solution to carry your two Pace 500.2 e-bikes. This rack uses a wheel mount setup so your frame would not be affected in any way. The wheel mount may not have a lot of padding but you don't have to run it all the way against the forks so it wouldn't contact at all. Also I confirmed that this rack has the weight capacity needed for your bikes and this rack is also travel trailer approved so it would work out great in that regard as well.
