Most of the electric jacks we carry are all designed for an A-Frame style trailer. We do have one side-mount # F141401 option available that's rated for 2,5000lbs so it would be a compatible option if you choose to not make an A-Frame style tongue on your trailer.
If you are going to make an A-Frame style trailer then I recommend going with the Electric Jack w/ Footplate # EJ-3520-BBX that you were already looking at. This jack is economically priced and has replacement parts available unlike pretty much every other jack on the market. Most of the time if anything wears out (gears, buttons, even the plastic covers, etc.) you're stuck tossing the whole jack. Because you can actually source the parts for this jack I will always recommend it over the others in its weight class.
I recommend also picking up a cover # UF38-944020 to help protect the head and motor from the elements and give your jack a longer lifespan.
