How to Transport a 65LB E-Bike and a 55LB Recumbent E-Trike

Question:

Do you know of any mfgs that make a rack that will haul one step thru ebike no upper tube which weighs about 65 lbs and one tadpole recument e trike that weighs about 55 lbs? I currently use a Rocky Mounts Swing Away on my F150 but mobility issues are forcing me to go with a recumbent while my wife still rides a step thru ebike. Thanks for any help.

I do have a solution for you as previously Hollywood Racks used to have an adapter which could be installed on some of their bike racks which would allow you to also carry a trike with a standard bike. This product was discontinued in 2021 and I do not see any other manufacturer with a product that will work with your bikes. The solution I have for you is to tow a small Utility Trailer # K2MMT4X6 when you need to transport your bikes. This trailer has a 4' wide by 6' long bed and a 3' long loading ramp which will make loading your bikes easier. A Bicycle Parking Stand # S64018 will work on most bike tires up to 2.5" wide allowing you to more easily secure your E-bike.
