Weight of Ultra-Fab 2 Inch Motorhome Receiver # UF35-946401
Question:
How much does this adapter by itself weigh?

Expert Reply:
Minus the packaging and the U-bolts, the 2 inch bumper mounted motor home receiver weighs right at 5 lbs. This particular receiver is intended for hitch accessories only, not for towing purposes. The weight capacity of the receiver is 200 lbs or the capacity of the bumper its attached to, whichever is lower. If used on the rear of a trailer, make sure the hitch mounted accessory is approved for use on the rear of a trailer, as an accessory on the rear of a trailer will be subjected to much more bouncing and jarring that if it were installed on a hitch on a regular passenger vehicle.
I would personally prefer something a bit more substantial, like the Curt # E-100.
