Can Pro Series Round A-Frame Jack # PSRV20000103 Support the Tongue of a 5400-lb Travel Trailer
Question:
Can Pro Series Round A-Frame Jack # PSRV20000103 Support the Tongue of a 5400-lb Travel Trailer
asked by: Joe
Expert Reply:
The Pro Series Round A-Frame Jack with External Gearbox, part # PSRV20000103, has a lift capacity of 2000-lbs. Typically trailer tongue weight is within 10-15 percent of gross trailer weight. If your trailer gross weight is 5400-lbs then this jack will have more than enough capacity to support the trailer tongue.
You can confirm the trailer tongue weight by using either a tongue weight scale such as the etrailer # e99044 or by one of the alternate methods outlined in the included article.
Please note that this jack uses a standard 3-point A-frame mounting scheme, has 14-inches of lift range but does not include the foot plate or wheel assembly. These are available as part # PS1400700340 and # PS1400750340 respectively.
