How To Switch Between 5th Wheel and Gooseneck Towing On a 2022 Ford F-350 Long Bed Without Prep
Question:
I have a F350 SD, full size bed. I have a question about a gooseneck/5th wheel hitch. Is there any rail system that will allow to switch between a 2 5/16 Ball and 5th wheel hook up? Thanks in advance.

I have some great options for your 2022 Ford F-350 8' Bed (Without Factory Prep) that will allow you to easily switch between fifth wheel and gooseneck towing. I know you specified in-bed rails and I do have an option for this but I instead recommend going with the B&W Turnoverball Gooseneck Hitch part # BWGNRK1116 since it allows for gooseneck towing and then fifth wheel towing when you add the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3500. This option would then not require you to sacrifice any bed space when not towing. The B&W Turnoverall and Companion are also one of the best gooseneck and fifth wheel hitch combos on the market.
That said, if you really want a set of above bed base rails you could easily install the Reese Quick-Install Custom Outboard Installation part # RP56017-53 and switch between fifth wheel and gooseneck towing using the likes of the Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP46FR and Curt Spyder Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails part # C35HR or something similar.
