The main difference between our etrailer.com Coupler Lock, item # e98890, and the Master Lock Adjustable Trailer Coupler Lock - Stainless Steel, item # 2847DAT, is the style of the locks.
The Masterlock has the advantage of being able to be used on many different styles of coupler and has a normal style key that can be duplicated at a local hardware store.
The Deadbolt has a short span, 7/8 inches, so it can be flush to prevent removal. This style is more compact than the stick and block style of the Masterlock.
