Tire Chain Recommendation for a 2016 Mini Clubman with 225/40R18 Size Tires

The only tire chains I recommend using for the 225/40R18 tires on your 2016 Mini Clubman are the Konig K-Summit Tire Chains # th02230k23 because they use a unique design that installs to your tire via the lug nut and then the chain only sits on the tread of your tire so you won't have any chain on the inner sidewall of your tires.

The reason this is important, and the only reason I recommend this chain for your application, is because your owner's manual only calls out the 195/60R16 and 195/55R17 tire sizes as being safe to use chains with - this means your tires are too big and there are clearance issues that are most likely found on the inner part of the sidewall (like brake lines or electrical connections). The K-Summit chains are a different breed of chain and are safe to use for these low clearance applications.
