Recommended Replacement Pigtail Hoses To Go From Propane Tank to Regulator On 5TH Wheel RV Camper
Question:
I need to replace both tank to regulator propane hoses. They are 4+ years old, stiff, and black rubber is sticky. One has a slight leaks on the NPT end and the other hose has a slight leak on the MIF end. Being both in their own propane tank storage on 5th wheel, is there any benefit to using stainless braided covered hoses vs the standard rubber/thermoplastic factory type hoses!

Helpful Expert Reply:
I recommend replacing your hoses with the GasGear 90-Degree Propane Hose # GS47FR. Not only does this hose have a stainless steel braded hose which is less likely to stiffen and crack over time, the hose has a 90 degree fitting which relieves the hard bend on the hose at the propane tank. The hose is 18" long allowing for a smoother bend from the tank to the regulator.
