Roof Rack and Cargo Box Recommendation for a 2007 Honda Pilot With Raised Rails

Question:

Which product and size do you recommend for my 2007 Honda Pilot. Honda recommends Honda cargo carriers, of course, but I would like an independent answer. Some manufacturers sell soft cargo carriers. My Pilot only has the bars that run front to rear, no cross bars. Would they be needed? or recommended?

The first thing you are going to need is crossbars that run from left to right of your vehicle for the cargo box to attach to. For that you will want a roof rack. I recommend the Thule AeroBlade Edge Roof Rack # TH7503-TH7503. The crossbars of this rack have been specifically designed to cut down on wind noise as much as possible and have the smallest affect on gas mileage when compared to other crossbar designs.

This rack also attaches to the raised rails of your 2007 Honda Pilot in a very similar fashion as factory crossbars which I think gives it a cleaner look.

Now for a cargo box that will fit those rails without any hatch interference Thule Recommends the Thule Pulse, part # TH614 This has been confirmed to fit the crossbars I recommended and would not interfere with your hatch opening. I think this would be an excellent choice for your vehicle.

I attached an installation video for roof rack and cargo box for you to check out also.
