How Does Hopkins Insight Brake Controller Install 2003 Chevy Avalanche

HI I HAVE A INSIGHT BRAKE CONTROLLER WITH OEM PLUG FOR 2003 CHEVY AVALANCHE NEED TO NO HOW TO GET THIS INSTALLED WERE THE RED WIRE GOES AN ALSO WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE UNDER HOOD THANKS AHEAD OF TIME

I attached a help article that covers all of the underhood wiring you'll need to do to install a brake controller like your Hopkins Insight in your 2003 Chevy Avalanche. The red wire of the controller would run to the stoplight circuit of the GM brake controller wiring if that's what you are using. We don't have a way to look that up if that's what you are looking for but it should be labeled on the wire or worst case scenario use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 to test all of the wires till you find one that has voltage only when brakes are applied.
