I have a 2005 Dodge 1500 Im wanting to put a gooseneck hitch in. this is in my price range but noticed this one only went down to a 2006 model. Will it not work on A 2005 truck?

You would want the Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # 9464-38 instead. This hitch is confirmed to fit your vehicle and is basically the same hitch you referenced except with an install kit that is designed for your vehicle.
