Recommended Upgraded Trailer Hitch for Tiffin Allegro Motorhome

Question:

We have a 2014 Tiffin Allegro Open Road with a 24000# F53 chassis and a 30000# GCWR. If my math is correct, that should give us a 6000# towing capacity. The coach came with a 5000# hitch. Our toad weighs 5320# so can I install a 7500# hitch, and if so, do you carry them? Thanks!

I do have an option for you but most factory motorhome trailer hitches have a maximum capacity of 5,000 lbs. If you have a larger vehicle that you need to tow, this will have to be replaced. I don't have a bolt-on option for you but still an option nonetheless. I recommend the Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Service Body Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 41990-07 or part # 41990-16 which you can modify for your motorhome. They can either be drilled/bolted or welded to the frame. The hitch has a 16,000 lb capacity which will be more than enough for your needs.
