Will Thule OutWay Trunk Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2011 Honda Accord and Bikes with Step-through Frames
Question:
Can the TH56BV handle a girls bike with a low mid-section? We want to consider it for our 2011 Honda Accord. It seems easy to take on and off. Would this be your best suggestion for a bike rack for two adults both using girls bikes?

The OutWay trunk mount bike rack, # TH45JV for the 2-bike version or # TH56BV for the 3-bike both fit the 2011 Honda Accord sedan or coupe. I assume you are talking about bikes that have what is called a step-through frame. You can use a hanging style bike rack with these types of bikes but you will need to use adapters, # TH982XT.
The adapter will provide a temporary top frame tube from the handle bar gooseneck to the seat post and allow you to load the step-through bikes fairly easily. I actually own the 3-bike version and have to use adapters for my wife and sons bikes. They work beautifully.
The bike racks themselves are, in a word, awesome. They are the easiest to use trunk mounts I have come across. The installation is quick and easy. Plus they come with locks for both the carrier and the bikes when other carriers sell them separately. When I was looking for a trunk mount rack the above mentioned features made the selection of the OutWay a no-brainer!
I have included some links showing how the adapter works for you.
