How to Pick Out a Weight Distribution System for a 2013 GMC Sierra Towing a Puma Camper
Question:
My 2013 seirra has the factory trailer pkg and brake system. I just bought a puma 7000lb camper with a 950lb toung weight. Im not sure which hitch would be best because im between at the max or min of your hitches. I do want to be to light nor a stiff ride. I do want sway control as well. Thanks,

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup, this includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2013 GMC Sierra. I attached an FAQ article on how to determine tongue weight for you to check out also.
Since you said your trailer has a tongue weight of 950 lbs I am assuming that is an unloaded figure, for a weight distribution system with sway control that would most likely work I would recommend you go with a Strait-Line Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RP66130. The tongue weight range for this system is from 800-1,500 lbs which should encompass your loaded tongue weight, but you should still confirm it.
This system has the only sway control system on the market that proactively works to prevent sway before it starts.
