Does Tow-Rax Wall Mounted Aluminum Folding Table Leave Marks on the Wall
Question:
I have had problems in the past with aluminum leaving dark marks on items that touch it. Is this table treated, or powder-coated, so it wont leave dark marks? Also, if installed in a home, is attaching to wall studs a requirement?

My technical contact at Tow-Rax does not have any reports of the Tow-Rax Wall Mounted Folding Table # TWSP45HFTA leaving marks on walls. He also stated that these were originally intended for outdoor (i.e. garage/trailer) use which would actually be more prone to corrosion than an inside application so the chances of corrosion building up when mounted inside is very minimal.
This table does have a brushed finish but it is not powder coated.
This table was manufactured with the mounting being set on a 32 inch center. Typical home stud centers are 16 inches. You definitely want to mount this table to studs in your wall. If your studs to not align properly you can always install a wood mounting board (such as a 2 x 4) on your wall studs and then mount the table to the wood.
You can see from the reviews that two other customers have also used this table in their apartments and are happy with it.
