7-Way Adapter for 1995 Chevy K2500 to Install Brake Controller
Question:
Hello, my dad has a 1995 Chevrolet K2500 standard cab 4x4 that has a flat 4 pole trailer light connector and he wants to tow a larger trailer with brakes having a 7 pin connector. I have a Tekonsha Prodigy brake controller that we would like to install. Is your Item # ETBC7L the best or most appropriate item to adapt this set up, if not what is and if it is your recommendation, do we need anything else? Thank you

Helpful Expert Reply:
You are REALLY close to the right part but what you'd want is the # ETBC7 and not the # ETBC7L. The ETBC7L only comes with wiring to activate the 12 volt accessory circuit of a 7-way whereas the # ETBC7 comes with the wiring to also activate the brake controller output circuit. The ETBC7L is for if you were installing a wireless brake controller like the Curt Echo # C51180.
