Thanks for reaching out!

The replacement brake pads for your Demco Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 can be found as part # DM59VR on our site. This includes parts for both sides of the tow dolly.

If you want to replace the whole assembly then you can do so by picking up 2 of the following:

Hub Assembly - # DM04369
Brake Caliper Assembly - # DM13825-92
10" Brake Rotor - # DM03927-92
Brake Caliper Mount Bracket - # DM13920-92 (if worn out)

To check and see if your brakes are actually activating you'll need to apply pressure to the surge brake actuator by pressing the coupler into the activator. Once this is done you'll be able to visually see if the brakes are pressed against the rotor and working properly. You'll likely need another set of hands or pair of eyes to accomplish this. I'm attaching a helpful article about adjusting brakes so you can see some options on actuating the coupler.

If you have the drum brakes then you need the left brake # DMSB24429M and the right brake # DMSB24428M. My contact at Demco confirmed this and also mentioned not to use two servo for this application.
