Is There A USB-C Charging Station Available For RV's

Question:

Hi. I’m looking for this charger with the USB C type plug. Do you guys carry them? I purchased this one and since the time of installation we have upgraded our electronics and they charger faster and proper off of the C type. Thanks

While we don't carry any chargers with a USB-C port in them the real determining factor for the charging speed is going to be based on how many amps the charger can pull. With DC wiring they don't expect you to pull a large amount of amps so they design it with a very small gauge of wire, which also wouldn't be able to pull much.

The USB outlets we carry, like the # 37215115, only have a 2.1amp capacity so the connection style (USB or USB-C) isn't going to matter. To simplify it, this charging station is basically the charging block that would come with your device and it doesn't have the newer USB-PD system inside of it because you're pulling from a DC battery versus a stronger AC current.

The only way to really get around this would be to AC outlet in the wall and run it to your power center and then use your typically lightning charger block to increase the amperage and charging rate. This would be just your typical 15 amp residential outlet that you could get from your local hardware store and wire to a circuit in your RV's power center.
