Correct Location for 4" Gooseneck Hole for B&W Gooseneck Hitch on 2016-2019 GM Truck

The instructions state to install at 49 1/2” but it does not match the dimple of the truck . Which should I use?

The instructions for the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit # BWGNRK1016 does state to drill the hole 49-1/2" in front of the rear-most part of the truck bed if your GM truck has the long 8' bed (see attached).
This might not line up directly with the dimple in your truck bed but that's okay, and you still want to stick with the installation instructions given by B&W. This is because their mounting brackets install in certain places and that dimple in the truck bed would be where an OEM setup would be located. There can be slight variations of where the gooseneck ball is located for different hitch brands but they should all be in relatively the same place. Stick with the instructions for the hitch system you purchased and everything will line up and work great!
I also recommend picking up some in-bed wiring like the Curt # C56070 if you don't already have it so you can connect and disconnect your gooseneck wiring easier.
