Can 10k Gen-Y Hitch Aluminum Loading Ramp Set be Used with 6k Track Loader
Question:
Hello. I am looking for loading ramps to load/unload my skid steer Compact Track Loader. The ramps on my trailer now are only 5foot and are the ones that came with the trailer. The short ramps make for a very steep angle and a non-pleasant loading/unloading process. The weight of my CTL is just under 6000 lbs. I see the information on the website, but everything says basically wheels. I know this might be a stupid question, but will these ramps have any issues considering it is a track machine in lieu of wheels? Also, is there a time or speed that the equipment needs to be on/off of the ramps? Im not sure how long the ramps can sustain the load without causing permanent deflection issues. Thanks!

Helpful Expert Reply:
Since your track loader is only 6,000 lbs and the weight capacity of the Gen-Y aluminum loading ramps part # 325-GH-R96 is 10,000 lbs they'd easily work well for you. The tracks wouldn't put any additional stress on the ramps compared to tires and there isn't any type of time restriction that the machine would need to be off of them either.
