Leaf Spring for 2000 lb Trailer
Question:
I need to replace both rusted leaf springs on an older boat trailer. The previous owner had installed a 3500 lb rated axle even though the trailer gross weight according to the registration is 2000 lbs. The 19 ft boat is approx 1400 lbs max weight and the trailer weighs about 500 lbs so max weight is no more than 2000 lbs. Should I get 1000 lb or 1250 lb springs? Thanks

If it will never go above 2,000 lbs that would be the capacity I would go with. Also we don't have any 1,250 lb springs...
The etrailer spring part # e77sr would be a great option that is a standard length at 26 inches as well.
