Recommended Tire Chains for a 2021 Chevy Silverardo 2500HD

Question:

What on/off road tire chains do you recommend for a 2021 Chevy Silverardo 2500HD Duramax. Tire Size = T275/70R 18. The tires are BF Goodrich K02s. Load Range E. I live in Lake Arrowhead, CA at 6000 Feet elevation. The chains will be used primarily on Road with Snow and Ice - but I do want them to be OFF ROAD capable. The terrain I live in is NOT FLAT - lots of hills and shadows where ice will form in the days after a decent snow. Some of the typical grades in the neighborhood can be in excess of 7 - so kinda steep. Thanx

For heavy snow and ice on inclines you're going to want a set of chains that really dig in, I recommend the Titan Chain Heavy Duty Alloy Snow Tire Chains w Cams # TC74FR. These chains use square links that will give you great traction for maneuvering through deep snow and help break up the ice.

These are rated to be used off road. I have linked an installation video below.

I also recommend using the the Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster item # TCMA3 because it will keep your chains snug against your tires.

You will want to look at your owner's manual and make sure you follow any instructions regarding tire chains.
