Can Crossbars be Put Further Apart For Thule Hullavator
Question:
My instructions say to mount my Thule cross bars 29 in apart. I have a 2017 Toyota tundra crewmax. I feel like my hullavators would provide better stability if my bars were more like 40 in apart. 29in is only about half way down the trucks roof. Thoughts about mounting my cross bars at 40 in?

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Roof Rack and Lift Assist # TH898.
You will not want to mount your crossbars at a distance apart from what the instructions say because the mounting of the crossbars are based on where the strongest points of the roof are located.
