How To Stop A-Frame Jack From Scrapping Ground While Going Over Bumps

Question:

Is this Jack available with a side handle or can I use a drill adapter to crank it. I do not have clearance on my trailer for a top handle crank. I have about 3 inches between the Jack stand and the tip of the V nose. Thx.

I do have an option for you but I don't have any way to reduce the ground clearance of your existing a-frame jack . That said, what you can do to fix this issue is replace your existing jack with the Ultimate Trailer Jack part # 322-RDJ-2K. The Ultimate Trailer Jack can be adjusted so that the foot is even with the bottom of the frame so there's no more worrying about bottoming out. This also makes it much faster to raise the trailer as the jack acts as a drop leg.

I do have another option for you but the Ultimate Trailer Jack doesn't have a drill adapter and it's not offered with a sidewind handle. The only other option we offer is the Square A-Frame Jack part # TJDA-5000S which has a sidewind handle and offers better ground clearance than most other jacks as it only measures 7-1/4" from the mounting bracket to the bottom of the footplate.
