Tow Bar Recommendation for 2004 Suzuki Grand Vitara with Older Base Plate Kit

Question:

Looking for new style tow bar for easier hookup. I have old school base plates on my Suzukis. Is there an adapter, or ?, to fit the Blue Ox to these.

For your application I recommend checking out the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates # e74ZR because the Blue Ox connectors are designed to fit prongs that are much closer than what you have.

The Roadmaster Direct-Connect uses the same style of base plate you have so all you need to do is make sure the connections will fit. The outside to outside measurement for that barrel piece that fits inside your base plate kit measures 2-1/16" as you can see in the attached photo. If this fits inside those prongs then you'll be good to go!
