Can Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor Run Without Pink Wire Connected

Question:

Great installation video made installation on 2021 gmc 2500 quick and easy! Works perfectly however I noticed you could turn it on with or without the pink ignition wire hooked up. I would rather it not run with the key off and I thought this was the reason for the relay wire? Checked the fuse tap first and powered up only on ignition so I unplugged it completely and compressor still ran?

Thank you for your purchase from etrailer of the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor # AL25980EZ. The pink wire is an optional ignition source connection and does not have to be hooked up; it will just allow the # AL25980EZ to make adjustments right when the ignition is turned on.

Otherwise, the unit will activate either when woken up by the controller, mobile app, or when your truck moves.
