Can Lock Housing Be Replaced on Older Yakima SpaceBooster 11 Roof Cargo Box

I need this part and I cannot find it. I tried to drill out the locking mechanism, an damaged the housing. I need to find the housing. Thanks.

I have a solution for you to have a roof cargo box with a working lock but unfortunately it involves getting a whole new box altogether. The SpaceBooster 11 that you have was discontinued by Yakima back in 2009 so while you might be able to find a replacement part at a used parts dealer, it will be hard to come by as it's been a while since that cargo box was in production.

The SpaceBooster line was replaced by the SkyBox series so I recommend replacing your cargo box with the Yakima SkyBox 12 # Y07334. This has similar dimensions at 92" long x 24" wide x 16" tall and will fit with a rear hatch on your vehicle as long as you have at least 57" of space between your front crossbar and the line where your roof and hatch meet.

I know this isn't the solution you wanted to hear, but unless you can find that replacement housing at a parts dealer you'll need to replace your box as there aren't any other lock systems compatible with your box, and this cargo box is the closest thing to what you currently have so I know you'll like this box.
