Dimensions of 23 40 Lb Taylor Made Marine Gas Strut for Boat Hatches
Question:
On the one I am replacing, the shiny rod is 10inch long. Is this one about the same or whatever it is, will it work for my motorhome entry door?

The Taylor Made Marine Gas Strut for Boat Hatches part # 3691879-40 measures 23" long extended from end to end at the eyelets. The body is 12" and the rod is 11" for a total of 23" which you can see in the photo below. Please note, in order to confirm fit you really only need to confirm the extended length and force which for this strut is 40 lbs. The length of the body and rod aren't really relevant for most applications.
I have attached a complete list of our selection below if you don't think this will work.
