Recommended Snow Chains for 28 Foot Motor Home with LT225/75R-16 Tires
Question:
I have a 28 foot motor home and my tires are LT225/75R16. On your site I ed Glacier Cable Snow Tire chains Code PW102. Will they fit? My use will strictly be limited to emergency highway use, such as caught in a snow storm crossing a mountain pass.

According to Glacier Chain, the # PW1042 cable snow tire chains you mentioned are indeed a fit for the LT225/75R-16 tires you mentioned. These cable chains are perfect for emergency use, but are not the most durable of choices.
If you are planning frequent trips into areas where the chains might be needed, I would recommend something that would be more durable that you would get many uses from, like the Glacier Square-Link Snow Tire Chains, part # PWE2219SC.
Regardless of whether you decide on cables or chains, rubber adjusters like # PW99 are recommended to keep your chains or cables properly tensioned. I have linked you to some FAQ articles about tire chains that you might find helpful.
Before purchasing or attempting to install snow chains, be sure to consult your owners manual and abide by any advice or prohibitions regarding tire chain usage.
