SumoSprings Recommendation for a 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun 319MB with 10K Rear Axle

Question:

I have a 2017 Coachmen 319MB E450 that is 33ft long. Im looking at replacing the airbags with Sumo Springs and Im wondering which product would be best suited. SSR-130-54, SSR-106-54-1, or SSR-10647-1? Rear axle weight is roughly 10k#. Would the SSR-130-54 combined with the SSR-47-1 be overkill or waste?

Here are the weight ratings for the SumoSprings that fit your 2017 Coachmen Leprechaun 319MB just so we can compare them next to each other:

SumoSprings # SSR-130-54 - Rated for 2,800 lbs
SumoSprings # SSR-106-47-1 - Rated for 5,000 lbs
SumoSprings # SSR-106-54-1 - Rated for 7,000 lbs

For your application it sounds like you're wanting to combine the 2.8K and 5K capacities to get the most help for your 10K axles. While I do see where you're going with this, I don't think it's going to have the same results as you think you'll be getting so I recommend just picking up the 7K # SSR-106-54-1 instead of trying to use 2 different sets of SumoSprings.

Normally when 2 different suspension enhancements are used one ends up overpowering the other and causes it to be less effective which I think is going to be the case if you use both of the smaller rated options together. By using just the 7K you know it will be working to the best of it's ability plus you're saving some money that can be put towards other upgrades for your motorhome like a Front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-176, Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1139-147, or a Steering Stabilizer Kit # RM47MR.
