Question:
The Yakima Buttondown 6 has oval clamps for factory rails, but will it fit the rails on my 2009 Toyota Rav4?

I do have a solution for you, however, the ButtonDown 6 Ski and Snowboard Carrier was discontinued by Yakima and replaced with the Big PowderHound Ski and Snowboard Carrier. The Big PowderHound has also now been discontinued.
I recommend the Yakima FatCat EVO 6, part # Y03096, will fit on the factory roof rack of your 2009 Toyota RAV4. It also holds up to 6 pairs of skis or 4 snowboards.
The ButtonDown 6 was only compatible with round or square crossbars. If you are looking at a used ButtonDown 6, it would not fit the factory crossbars on your RAV4.
