LED Clearance Light Recommendation for a Trailer that Wont Illuminate all of the Clearance Lights

Question:

Trying to figure out issue on trailer lights. Brake and signals work correct but tail lights dont. Marker light on back half are dim while markers on front half are bright. 3 lights in between tail lights have no power and are self grounded although there is ground coming out of the loom that the power wire comes from for these three lights and when I touch it to ground these three light develop a dim light while the back markers get even dimmer.

It sounds like you are overdrawing your running light circuit and you do not have the amperage to illuminate all of the running lights at the same time. You are probably on the verge of blowing a fuse on your tow vehicle so I would recommend you stop now and address the problem before you attempt to tow with this setup.

The best recommendation I can give you would be to convert your clearance lights to LEDs since they draw a fraction of what an incandescent bulb does so it should fix your overdrawing problem.
