When it comes to replacing your hangers on a tandem axle that has equalizers that are 6-1/4 inches long you would need The Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs # APT4. This Leaf-spring mounting kit includes 3-1/4 inch tall front hangers, 5-7/16 inch tall center hangers, 3-1/4 inch tall rear hangers and necessary hardware. Equalizers are 6-1/4 inch long.
This kit is designed for use on trailers with tandem, 2,000 pound to 7,000 pound axles. To determine the proper placement of the hangers you will first need to take the distance between the two eye holes on the leaf springs. With yours being 23-1/4 inches you next need to add half the length of the equalizer from the center of the two lower bolt holes which one the one included in # APT4 is 3-1/8 inches. Next you would need to subtract 1/2 inch for the shackle straps from the measurements mentioned above (23-1/4 inches + 3-1/8 inches - 1/2 inch) which equals 25.125 inches.
