Can the Dometic 320 Full-Timer Toilet Be Used in place of a Thetford RV Toilet

Question:

Hi there. I currently have a 2015 heartland gateway that has two toilets. They are both the Thetford toilets and the pin that opens the slider to flush has broken off on both of them. When you push the pedal down it is supposed to catch a little pin halfway down to open it. Two questions. 1. Is there any way to fix these other than replacing the whole toilet? 2. Will this be a good replacement and work if I have to change the entire toilets? We are in our Rv full time. Thank you very much!!

From what I could find on the Thetford toilets, they will use the same flange bolt pattern and footprint as Dometic toilets. So, you should be able to swap it out with the Dometic 320 Full-Timer RV Toilet # DOM87FR without issue.

As far as replacing the pin is concerned, we do not carry the Thetford line and I could not locate any information on the pin you are needing. I would recommend reaching out to Thetford directly, this may be something they can provide parts/information for.
